Review by Pauline Creeden

Blurb: Sarah Jane, a teen now living with her aunt and uncle, clashes with her new teacher as well as the popular girl who threatens her happiness. Troubles increase when Dan, now a dashing soldier, returns to confuse and mystify Sarah Jane. With Poppa gone, who will Sarah Jane turn to for answers? When all around is clothed in thunder, only one refuge remains…In the Shadow of the Cedar.

Review: Picking up exactly where we left off in Thundersnow, Clothed in Thunder teaches us just what became of the cast from the first book. Jay realizes that though she’s always loved Michael – did she really know him at all? And what about Drake the Snake? Could he really shed his skin and become a whole different person?

This book series is making me change my mind about historical fiction. It reminds me of when someone once told me that I didn’t like lamb because I’d never had it prepared correctly. I guess I’d never read a historical fiction “prepared” right. Sheila Hollinghead is turning out to be a wonderful “chef” there – and I honestly can’t wait for the next book in the series!
